House of 1000 Doors: Evil Inside is a puzzle adventure about escaping from and fighting a great evil using a great power. A meteorite has crashed on Earth and unleashed a terrible evil force that will quickly spread and infect everything with a horrible disease. You play Emily, the last line of the Lancaster family fighting evil forces for generations. As the wielder of the Inner Light, only you have the power to drive back the evil forces that threaten the land. You're still human and will need creativity and ingenuity to overcome certain obstacles and progress through your adventure.

The hidden object game is one that anyone can play if they have patience and observational skills, making it a casual choice. This game adds its fantasy and a looming threat that you must fight against to drive the story forward. Your power uses different mechanics from the other puzzles, requiring you to interact in specific ways. Of course, your main task will be to look around and collect objects that can be used to access a new area or collect new objects. Your Inner Light is a key that will make more things available to you, but it can only do so much. The puzzles will be the main challenge.

How to Play

House of 1000 Doors: Evil Inside is a 2D hidden object game about fighting an evil force and solving puzzles using the mouse. To interact with scenes and collect objects, move the cursor over to them and click the Left Mouse Button. Hold the Left Mouse Button over particular objects and pieces and then move the cursor. Your character hub will be at the bottom of the screen, showing collected objects, your journal, your power, and the Hint and Skip functions. The goal is to progress through the different environments and cleanse the evil. The game ends when you've completed your quest or have stepped away.

The main menu lets you choose your difficulty mode before playing. When you do, a scene will tell you what's happening and lead you to the first area. From that point forward, you must start solving puzzles and progressing. Each scene will be contained but will have specific areas of interest. These areas can be close-ups of spots where you can collect objects or interact with puzzle mechanics. There can be one or multiple doors out of each scene, and you must find ways to open and enter each. Afterward, you must trace patterns with the Hand of Light to cleanse the disease from infected elements. The world will be saved once you've entirely defeated the evil force.

Tips and Tricks

You must take your time to observe every scene and examine anything that looks suspicious. Anything that the disease has overcome, is likely something of importance or is blocking a path. Examine cluttered areas or anything that seems out of place to find new pieces and make note of any locks or environmental pieces.
