How to Play
2048 Cupcakes is a puzzle-matching game that can be played with just one hand and one of two sets of keys on your keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Slide Up
- S/Down Arrow - Slide Down
- A/Left Arrow - Slide Left
- D/Right Arrow - Slide Right
The controls are used to slide all the cupcake tiles across a 4x4 grid. When you press to slide, all the tiles on the grid will slide together. Tiles will only slide as far as they can until they hit the border or another tile. Tiles with the same cupcake on them will combine into one and every time you slide, a new tile will appear in random free space. The tile that appears will always be a Vanilla Birthday cupcake, the first on the list. The objective is to keep combining cupcakes until you end up with a Rainbow cupcake. The game ends if the grid fills up with no available moves left to make.
Tips and Tricks
Like with traditional 2048, similar strategies can be applied. Since you always know what tile is going to be spawned in, you can plan around that. Also, be sure to keep as much of the center as free as possible to maximize the amount of movement that your tiles can make.
